Based on the initiative of Prof. Dr. István Rákóczi, R&R Software helped in creating a new, medical web application.
According to the WHO’s Recommendation in their publication from dated 2015, 10 to 15 per cent of the births were justified for C-section operations (the surgical procedure of giving birth). Compared to this recommendation, the Hungarian data for 2015 averaged at 39 percent of the births carried out with C-sections.
Prof. Dr. István Rákóczi, Professional Advisor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the St. Imre Hospital in Budapest – a hospital with a very low “C-section rate” in Hungary – is a well-known expert of the subject.
Hungarian and international experience – primarily based on the research results of Greggory R. Devore M.D., but also the latest international literature and other research data – was processed in the “Fetal Heart Rate Intrapartum Monitoring – Reference Guide” knowledge base web application, which provides useful information and also an overview and quick guidance for doctors and maternity nurses working in labor rooms and maternity wards, helping them to avoid unjustified C-sections.
“CTG monitoring is currently our only way of evaluating the condition of the fetus during labor and delivery. The online application developed by R&R Software helps colleagues in determining if oxygen deficiency is an issue or not.
I presented the knowledge base application in Visegrád, Hungary on the 2nd of December, 2016 at the UptoDate Obstetrician Professional Conference for 560 participants. The application received a warm welcome – I also announced that it is and will be available free of charge on the Internet for all doctors and nurses.
Currently, many similar applications are available abroad. I believe that even more medical applications will be available in Hungary. As for myself: I’ll strive to increase the number of similar applications in obstetrics and gynecology.
Finally, I’d like to thank R&R Software for recognizing the application’s significance, and for selflessly assisting in ”giving birth” to it” – said Prof. Dr. István Rákóczi
The web application publishing the knowledge base was developed free of charge under the Corporate Social Responsibility program of R&R Software Co. Ltd. The web server running the applications is also provided free of charge by WebAND Budapest.
“Our Corporate Social Responsibility program seeks to showcase R&R Software’s core values: the greatest assets are human resources, and the high added value knowledge and experience acquired and maintained through the work of decades. That is why we are supporting initiatives that aim at sharing knowledge and experience“- said Zsolt Rozenberszki, Sales Director of R&R Software.
