Kovács Gergely Concert on the 10th Anniversary of Piano Day

This year, we are celebrating the 10th edition of Piano Day which, held on the 88th day of the year, pays tribute to the piano by symbolizing its 88 keys. On the occasion of the anniversary, internationally renowned Hungarian pianist Gergely Kovács will give a special concert in Veszprém, at the Hangvilla, on March 29, 2025. 

The concert program was selected by the audience through a public vote during the artist’s previous performance. As a result, works by Chopin, Debussy, and Gershwin will be presented, bringing a blend of romantic, impressionist, and jazz elements.

Gergely Kovács’s artistry is built on the harmony of technical virtuosity and emotional expression. Throughout the evening, the audience will experience different aspects of music through outstanding works of the piano repertoire.

Gergely Kovács is one of the most prominent figures of the young generation of pianists. He is a Junior Príma Award winner, a Cziffra Talent Award recipient, and the third-place winner of both the 2021 Los Angeles and Budapest Franz Liszt International Piano Competitions, where he also won the Audience Prize. He has performed across Europe, Asia, and the United States. In 2019, he held a solo recital at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
